  Many restaurants are located within a walking distance or a few minutes away by taxi.

• Are beach towels provided?

  Of course, fresh beach towels are provided in all our rooms.

• What services are available from Cassia Cottage?

  Some local services such as motorbike rental, massage services, airport and harbor pick up/ drop off, tour advice, special meals, marriage proposals and theater tickets.

• Is there any Internet access? Is there entertainment in the evenings?

  We have a library with free access to all in-house guests with a lot of books for adults and children in different languages, board games, chess tables in the garden and two computers with free Internet access. Wi-Fi is accessible on the whole property. In the evening, we show films on a big screen in the restaurant area.

• Do you have honeymoon packages?

  Upon request, we can organize a honeymoon package with a special room that offers a lot of privacy, romantic dinner with complimentary champagne, massages, a private boat tour at sunset, breakfast in bed… everything you need for a memorable honeymoon.

• What if I want to do a long stay?

  A discount will be offered for long stays (more than 7 nights).

• Are babysitting services available?

  Yes, the baby sitting service is available. The front desk at the hotel can organize a babysitter whenever you need.

About the rooms

• How large are the rooms?

  The Garden Cottages are from 23 to 28 sq.m.
  The Standard sea view rooms are 30 sq.m.
  The Large sea view rooms are 41 sq.m.
  The Beach houses, 82 sq.m., are composed of 2 rooms with 2 ensuite bathrooms and a living room.

• What rooms offer the most privacy?

  All the Garden cottage rooms as all come with a private garden and a terrace.

• What rooms are best for a family with children?

  Beach houses or large sea view rooms can accommodate families with 1-3 children. We also have Garden cottages with connecting doors.

• What amenities are in the rooms?

  All the rooms are equipped with air conditioning, hot water, mini-bar, hair drier, mini-safe, a double queen size bed, Wi-Fi , mosquito nets, bathroom amenities, tea set, hot kettle. A baby cot is available on request. Electric plugs are two prongs. Three prongs are available upon request

• Do all rooms have a double and single bed or one or the other?

  All the rooms are set with one double queen size bed.

• Can I book a room with twin beds?

  We can add one additional single bed (size 1 m x 2 m) in many rooms. If you need separate beds, just mention it in your reservation;there is no extra charge.

• Is there a TV in the rooms?

  Cassia Cottage is a TV-free zone. We have a large selection of movies that we show at night on a big screen.

About Phu Quoc

• Do I need to take medicine for malaria prevention?

  No, malaria is only found in jungle areas.

• What sites are available to see? Are there any tours I can take?

  You may find some suggestions on our ”Activities” page.

• What is the weather like in the rainy season?

  From December to April it rarely rains. Temperatures are 25-38 degrees.
  April-May and October-November, there are quick heavy rains, often at night with temperatures from 25-35 degrees.
  From June–end of September, there can be monsoons. It can rain steadily with a wind of 20-30 km/h. The ocean will be rough for swimming, but you can splash in the surf. Great opportunity to enjoy our two swimming pools.
  The rainy season temperature is steady from 26-30 degrees. It’s lovely, green, and very wet.

• Is it safe to swim in the sea?

  Yes, but depending on the season, there are can be some jellyfish. We have a jellyfish net on our privatebeach. The sandy beach slopes gently. There are no strong offshore currents, and no dangerous fish.

Where is Phu Quoc?

Phu Quoc, the largest island in Vietnam, lies in the Gulf of Thailand just 15 kilometers from Cambodia. Approximately half of the island is forested and the beaches are open and unspoiled.

The fresh sea breezes and stunning sandy beaches touching crystal clear blue waters make this a true paradise. The island covers an area of 585 square kilometers and is 60 kilometers long.

Access to Phu Quoc

By plane:Vietnam Airlines and Air Mekong are the main companies with flights to Phu Quoc from Ho Chi Minh City(45 mins to 1 hour), Hanoi, Rach Gia and Can Tho (30 min).We can arrange a pick up from the airport to the hotel.

By Ferry:Service generally takes around 2:30 hours from Rach Gia and 1:15 hours from Ha Tien. We can arrange a pick up from the harbor to the hotel.

Connection to Cambodia:You can take a boat from Phu Quoc to Ha Tien, near the Cambodian border. Then take a bus to major Cambodian destinations such as Kep, Kampot, Sihanoukville, Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.

The Spice House restaurant serves Vietnamese as well as international food. We cook only natural and fresh selected products. You will enjoy your meal in our beautiful tropical garden by the sea or on the beach for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Our buffet breakfast offers a wide variety of fresh tropical fruit juices, home-made cakes, bread, jams, cereals, home-made yogurt, ham, cheese, salads, soups, fried noodles or rice. Our cook is available to cook fried eggs, bacon and pancakes.

Lunch: 11.00 am – 4.00 pm

Happy hour: 4.00 – 4.30 pm

For happy hour, discover a new complimentary cocktail everyday by the pool, at the bar or on the beach!

Dinner: 4.00 pm – 9.30 pm

What’s To Do

There’s never a shortage of places to explore or new things to do on Phu Quoc. Our staff will be pleased to arrange tours for you. Here are some possibilities:

Diving and Snorkeling

Some very pleasant diving areas with pristine hard and soft corals and small, colorful reef and coral fish. Diving and snorkeling excursions start approximately at 8.30 am. You spend all the day on the boat and have lunch there as well. All tours are guided by certified instructors and can be booked directly at the hotel reception.

Swimming

Our own beach is calm and clean. The island is… an island! There are 150 kilometers of beach to explore

Fishing

At Nam Dao in the south of the island you can visit a fishing village and even go fishing. Some boats also organize squid fishing tours at night with barbecue on the boat.

National Forest

Tours to the beautiful National Forest at Bac Dao can be arranged.

Waterfalls

At the Suoi Tranh waterfall, the stream is surrounded with green trees, grass and fragrant flowers. The clear waters flow gently through nooks and crannies, then through large rocks that form the falls.

Da Ban stream is situated about 6 kilometers due east of Duong Dong. It gets its name from the many table–like rock formations that make up the stream, “ da” meaning “rock” and “ban“ meaning “table“. Legend has it that fairies come to this stream to play checkers on these “tables”. There are many rock pools along its length with beautiful wild ginseng and orchids growing along its banks.

Night Market

The night market is only a few minutes by taxi or 30 minutes walk on the beach. You can enjoy food and barbecue there in a very typical Vietnamese atmosphere.

Pearl Farm

Visit Phu Quoc pearl farms where a wide variety of pearls are made locally. These are displayed for your viewing and shopping.

Phu Quoc Coconut Tree Prison

A historical former prison built by the French and used in the French and American wars in Vietnam.

An Thoi Harbor

A fishing town consisting of numerous islets, the An Thoi archipelago is the best place for snorkeling and fishing.

Sao Beach

Sao Beach is a not to miss destination where sea, sand and sun blend in perfect harmony. A perfect lunchtime place.

Tours

North Tour:

The specific trait of geography of the north of the island is the richness of the rock formations. There are numerous pepper plantations here. The scenery of the north island is a particularly striking combination of mountains, rainforest and deserted beaches.

South Tour:

The south of the island has had much of original lowland tropical evergreen forest cover cleared, leaving behind a mix of agricultural and secondary forest landscape and a variety of rural scenes and settlements. The nicest beach in the south is Sao Beach and it is a must see destination whether you are alone or with friends.
